Welcome to the web home of Tucson Mensa. This local group of American Mensa encompasses an area approximately 100 miles wide around Tucson and continues SSW roughly following US Route 19 following all the zip codes starting with 857?? down to Mexico. The culture in the Southwest is different from many other parts of the country. It's the home of such unique elements as Kokopelli, kachina, dreamcatchers, gila monsters, scorpions, and prairie dogs. The official state neckwear is the bola tie so the area tends to be a little more casual. We usually have about a dozen diverse events a month so come on down to any open event and meet the local members.
Meetings are usually very casual and usually just end up being good conversation. Even when a subject of the evening has been arranged, the topics just seem to get away. If you have ever been curious, come on down to one of the public events or contact one of the members (especially the officers listed on the Officers page) to attend an invited-guests event. Want to become a member of Mensa? One out of every fifty people qualify for Mensa... Are you the one? Many people have already taken a school, military, or work IQ or aptitude test that is accepted by Mensa. Tucson Mensa also administers proctored intelligence tests. (Try a sample of the Mensa Test.)
